1628/365 - On Our Way To Munising

With the week off we decided to spend a few days in the Upper Peninsula visiting Pictured Rocks. So we headed out early in the morning and stopped for lunch in Mackinac City for lunch.
Then it was just a hop skip and a jump away to the Upper Peninsula.
We made a brief stop at the most awesome rest area I've ever seen along US 2. Directly across from the bathrooms and parking lot is a beautiful view of lake Michigan. It was a nice spot to take a break.
Once we arrived in Munising we headed out to small park just south of town called Wagner Falls.
It's a pretty small park and it's easy to miss, but it's worth the stop. There's a nice boardwalk along the water and, of course, waterfalls.
You can even go up several flights of stairs, walk along some rock cliff, and get a better view of the whole thing. It was a pretty nice stop and a good warm up for all the hiking over the next few days.
