Quinn placed a blue washcloth in a plastic cup and has been carrying it around for days as Fuzzy's water. Fuzzy, his new Build-A-Bear friend, always drinks when he drinks.

We played with a coat-hanger scale today, seeing what was heavier between various household objects.

The little one had his first dentist appointment yesterday, so he was excited to put on the tattoo he received this morning.

Our cat turned 11 today, and we celebrated with some tasty wet food for him.

It's pretty windy and snowing on and off today, so we stayed indoors playing fun things. We spent hours camping in the living room under a blanket tent.
Then he followed me all through the house, settling in whatever room I was to play with more toys.

This afternoon was a LEGO Movie 2 event at Barnes & Noble. Holy cow were they busy! Everyone was super friendly and good natured. It was much better organized than the Target event last weekend, where no one really knew what was going on or wanted to talk to any parents.
Because it was so busy, most people ended up assembling on the floor. I love that they use the music department because, I assume, it has less foot traffic than the rest of the store.

In the end, Quinn built a mini-Emmet house, which he loved.
It was a very exciting day so he took a nap late afternoon. Naps are always nice, but he always stays up super late now if he takes one.

We used his microscope for a whole ten minutes today. He's still pretty young for it but I'm trying to get him more interested.

So many different sets converging into one giant beach scene in our TV room.

So many friends to snuggle with at night!

We've been putting a lot of LEGOs together and weird things are happening.

 Welcome to Four!
He received so many LEGO sets yesterday, so one of the first things we did was assemble the Harry Potter one.
Then it was off to see LEGO Movie 2, which he's been pumped to see for weeks.
We opened presents in the afternoon from Chris and I.
Then we were back at more LEGO set assembly. We're going to be putting sets together for days and days.
We also spent some time at the nearby park to enjoy sunshine and snow! All in all it was a pretty busy 4th birthday!

Today we're headed to the east side of the state to celebrate with grandparents! We have a Build-A-Bear birthday hat and we're ready to go!
He had tons of fun running around Grandma Karath's place and playing with new toys.
Fuzzy had a good time too.
At Grandma and Grandpa Oslund's house he received more presents!
Plus we had some more birthday cake!
Eventually we made it back home and snuggled with new Harry Potter plushies.

Today is the first day in a 3-day long birthday celebration extravaganza. We first stopped at Build-A-Bear, where Quinn built a birthday bear for his very own.
Next we worked on a birthday cake together.
It was a pretty active day so he fell asleep early with his new bear, whom he named Fuzzy.

The little one tried to put a blanket on the cat....

Such an adorable gift from the little one!

We spent part of the evening making a card for daddy.

More snow.

It's a little picked over at the local store.

We met our friends and their daughter at their place for a meetup and exchange of Christmas gifts. The kids had an amazing time running around and doing silly things.

The little one's favorite thing is to eat peanuts if we go out to eat. Keeps him busy the whole time.

It's a very snow February this year.

He's such a large cat. Love this guy though.

West Michigan had an ice storm last night, which meant everything was coated in the morning. We lost power right before I left for work, but thankfully it came back on by mid-day so the house wouldn't get too cold.

We're supposed to get more ice again tomorrow so that will be fun.

At least the temperatures are warm enough now that salt is effective.

I avoided this game for a good long while. I thought it was like Farmville, and who needs that? I never played Harvest Moon, so I didn't quite understand the reference.

This is very much like Farmville meets Animal Crossing and with a dungeon to go through and all kinds of mysteries to solve. It's a lot more fun an addictive than I thought it would be!

This is an insanely large Oreo cookie. Kinda gross too.

We started off the day with some silly Duplo creations, including this heart which many creatures enjoyed climbing.
We had some crazy banana monsters as well, and then finished up the second Harry Potter movie this afternoon. He's been calling me Hagrid for a few days now, and I'm not sure if I that's a compliment or an insult. Either way, it's funny.

I wasn't nearly as on top of it this time around for Harry Potter-themed food. The movie will take us two days since it's so long and I didn't really get too elaborate this time. I sliced up some bananas, put some gel on them for eyes and called them Aragog's children.

We did watch one half of the movie, which he loved. We also played some LEGO Harry Potter.

We finished up Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He's anxious to start in on this one, which he's been asking to read since first seeing it. He's very interested in what this bus is all about.
