I managed to score a Bag of Crap from Woot! awhile back during their birthday celebrations. I've never actually managed to get one, so I was curious to see what was in store.
It really was a weird random assortment of things for $5. I'm especially amused by the brush of crap sticker that is for the toilet brush.
Also, what arrived wasn't so much a bag as a box. But I'm not complaining. That just means they can fit more stuff in it, right?

Every year the Roberson's (my mother's mother's side) have a reunion in Midland. We've only attended one other time so this year we headed out to introduce the new baby to my aunts and uncles.
My great aunt Bonnie enjoyed seeing little Quinn.
As did my aunt Bonnie.
And my aunt Elaine.
Everyone got to hang out and enjoy the nice weather.
And Quinn was passed around to everyone. He had a hard time at the beginning of the day. That was a lot of attention all on him. He was way too distracted to eat, so then he'd get even more frustrated and start screaming. Both times we needed to feed him we had to hide somewhere so he could calm down.
But as the afternoon wore on he started to have a good time.
And enjoyed being carried about on shoulders.
And playing with his truck.
We also were able to take a photo with all four generations - my grandmother (who is now 88), my mother, Jeff & I and then Quinn.
Driving to Bay City and Midland is always a long drive, but worth it. Now that we don't get together as a large group any more (most of my cousins are 10+ years older than me with their own families established) it was nice to see a lot of people and catch up.

Ugh. this bridge I cross under every day on my way to work is just disturbing. In the bottom half of the photo you can see the sky through where the concrete has crumbled away.
The roads are just so terrible in this state and no one seems inclined to fund anything to fix them. They've been deteriorating slowly the whole time I've been driving, so almost 20 years.

Grandpa Karath came out to visit for the day! Quinn had a great time!
I came home at lunch, like I usually do, and we all were able to sit and enjoy a quick meal before I headed back.
Grandpa Karath even stayed for dinner and right up until Quinn's bedtime. The little guy had a really good time and it was nice catching up with my father-in-law.

The Mouse Guard: Swords & Strongholds kickstarter I backed last year arrived today. And it's a beautiful looking box. I'm looking forward to opening it up and playing a few rounds with Chris.

With all the running around yesterday we weren't able to take Quinn's 5 months photo. So we had a little fun in the living room and took some photos today.
And while we were out grocery shopping I picked up Majora's Mask for the 3DS. I have the original for the N64 still, but I had such a good deal on it that I couldn't resist.

It's Saturday on the opening weekend of a new Marvel movie. I headed out for the first showing of the film while Chris stayed at home with Quinn.
The movie was a delightful mix of Honey I Shrunk The Kids and any generic heist movie.
When the movie was over I headed home and we handed off the little one so Chris could meet Adam and Comfort to enjoy the film.
After the movie was over they came back to our place to discuss things and...
...have a belated birthday celebration for Adam!

Yesterday one of the wires in the pulley system for the garage door snapped. The door still goes up and down, but it puts too much strain on the rest of the system if you leave it alone.
So for now, since it's so hard to carve out enough time in the day to fix it during the week, Chris has been helping open and close it so I can leave for work every day.

One of the really nice things about having a backyard that bumps up to a wooded area is all the wildlife that travels through. Since we have a mulberry tree in the back we attract deer from time to time.
I'm not sure where the mother was (doubtless off to the side where I couldn't see her, but these two fawns came back today and were wandering around this afternoon.

It's the 4th of July! Hooray for holidays!
Grandma Karath and uncle Scot came to visit and see little Quinn and to enjoy tasty food.
Scot played quite a bit with Quinn in the kitchen while the little guy ran around in his walker.
And they were able to watch him enjoy some squash. This kid seems to love squash so far.Everyone had a really good time, and Quinn loves when people come over, so it was extra special that his grandma and uncle were out to visit.
Plus he made out with some new toys! Not everything in front of him is new, but the ball, Ernie and the butterfly are. Plus there are clothes and another toy not pictured. Every time his grandmother visits it's like Christmas or a birthday. This kid has a ton of stuff and he's not even 6 months yet!
