I have played this game so much. It came out last Friday and I have over 20 hours into it. I absolutely loved the other Fire Emblem games I've played and this is particularly addicting. A very nice balance between combat and building up your characters.

We spent the day on the east side of the state today. The first stop was the Oslund household.
The weather was great. Uncle Jeff grilled and we could sit out and enjoy the cooler weather.
Next up was Grandma Karath. We brought her some cupcakes to help her feel better.
Quinn had a great time with her. He had an elaborate game in which they were in a secret cave and there were all sorts of special scanners and gadgets. She had a great time with him and his imagination.

We spent a big chunk of the day today at the beach. I went out with a co-worker and her son, plus we met one of her friends there. We had a group of 4 kids and they all had a blast.
This little guy was the least interested in swimming, but he did have fun wading in after a few hours, just like last week.

We spent the day at the beach in Grand Haven. It was so busy and I'm glad we arrived before noon and had packed lunch.
It took about two hours before the little one would get in the water. He's still not a fan of water in general and definitely not cold water that might splash his face, but we're making progress.

We picked up a small paint sprayer yesterday so we could seal the deck this weekend. It's finally been dry enough to put a waterproof clearcoat after powerwashing several weekends ago.
Chris did all of the deck work while I entertained the little one.
He was especially impressed with a boardgame I'd backed on Kickstarter that arrived today. Trogdor!! I was a huge fan of Strong Bad emails in the early 2000s so I absolutely had to back anything with Trogdor in it.
The little one really enjoyed the premise of the game (which I explained but we did not play together), which is to play the dragon and burn things. He loved the little figures and the fact that the cards have a burned and unburned side.

We met up with friends at Deer Tracks Junction. They've really expanded since we've been here - their parakeet enclosure is much larger.
The kids had a great time with the birds.
The little pigs are still cute as ever.
They spent a lot of time climbing all over the different structures, going in and out of the playhouse, and racing ducks.
