I have played this game so much. It came out last Friday and I have over 20 hours into it. I absolutely loved the other Fire Emblem games I've played and this is particularly addicting. A very nice balance between combat and building up your characters.

Today is the 10 year anniversary of our first date! To celebrate we went out to Chili'swhich is where we had our first date.
This little guy had lots of fun too.

I have the day off so why not do something fun? We went to Chuck E Cheese to see how it was, since Chris and I haven't been in ages. The little one had fun.

It's a beach day today! We spent a few hours at Millennium Beach enjoying the sun and the water.

We had fun drawing Harry Potter houses all over the driveway today. Sidewalk chalk is fun!

Today is the start of a new porch. The contractors came by late today to rip out all of the concrete.

He's still having fun, although it is difficult to focus so late in the day.

It's a good day to be out and about.

We had delicious watermelon at work today!

After the heat and humidity of last week, yesterday and today have been absolutely beautiful.

We spent the day on the east side of the state today. The first stop was the Oslund household.
The weather was great. Uncle Jeff grilled and we could sit out and enjoy the cooler weather.
Next up was Grandma Karath. We brought her some cupcakes to help her feel better.
Quinn had a great time with her. He had an elaborate game in which they were in a secret cave and there were all sorts of special scanners and gadgets. She had a great time with him and his imagination.

We spent a big chunk of the day today at the beach. I went out with a co-worker and her son, plus we met one of her friends there. We had a group of 4 kids and they all had a blast.
This little guy was the least interested in swimming, but he did have fun wading in after a few hours, just like last week.

This morning was a bad morning for the network at work.

Today is his first night of soccer starter, which is teaching the soccer moves before being on teams.

The little one wanted to decorate his room to be spooky, and this is what he came up with.

Ran into a turkey and her babies this evening at the park.

We took an early morning walk today, since we were both up early. That let Chris sleep in a little.

We spent the day at the beach in Grand Haven. It was so busy and I'm glad we arrived before noon and had packed lunch.
It took about two hours before the little one would get in the water. He's still not a fan of water in general and definitely not cold water that might splash his face, but we're making progress.

We picked up a small paint sprayer yesterday so we could seal the deck this weekend. It's finally been dry enough to put a waterproof clearcoat after powerwashing several weekends ago.
Chris did all of the deck work while I entertained the little one.
He was especially impressed with a boardgame I'd backed on Kickstarter that arrived today. Trogdor!! I was a huge fan of Strong Bad emails in the early 2000s so I absolutely had to back anything with Trogdor in it.
The little one really enjoyed the premise of the game (which I explained but we did not play together), which is to play the dragon and burn things. He loved the little figures and the fact that the cards have a burned and unburned side.

It's super hot out but this guy wants to have a blanket on him.

I got up early today and made everyone french toast. Yum!

My car thinks it's very hot out. It's not 100 degrees out, but I'm sure it feels like that on the sensor with the sun shining on it.

This is actually quite tasty on salads (I don't like dressings).

These now live at my desk at work. I was afraid they'd melt in the sun in the car so I brought them inside.

Little one and I spent a fair amount of time in and out of the house today. The weather is so much nicer today than the last several days.

We met up with friends at Deer Tracks Junction. They've really expanded since we've been here - their parakeet enclosure is much larger.
The kids had a great time with the birds.
The little pigs are still cute as ever.
They spent a lot of time climbing all over the different structures, going in and out of the playhouse, and racing ducks.

We went out shopping to get some fresh strawberries and I whipped up some strawberry shortcake.
In the evening we lit some fireworks.

Today is the 4th of July! We spent several hours at a local city's 4th celebration with a friend and her family. The little ones had a great time together!
In between afternoon rainstorms, I managed to grill some food for everyone.

It's another warm day. I think it hit 90 degrees. Being within walking distance of the splashpad is great.

It is so hot out! Perfect weather for the splashpad.

They gave our department at work new computers. It's...impressive.
