Today is the day pregnancy had finally ended. At 4:52am we became a family of four (yes, I'm counting our ginger cat, Leki).

I was admitted around 7pm yesterday and after horrible back labor and then an awesome epidural, Quinn was born.
It's been a long day, considering we've been up since 4am on Tuesday, but it was worth it.

Now for a nap.

We had a birthing class and hospital tour today. 5 hours long. I can't even imagine spreading this across multiple weeks. It would have just dragged on forever.

A lot of it was stuff I'd already read, but the tour of the hospital was good, since I'm completely unfamiliar with the building.

Chris shot some video so I snagged a still from it. At this point I was just ready to eat lunch.
I was able to snag a piece of piece and then eat a clementine I'd brought to the class. So huzzah for food.

Today was the 20 week ultrasound (anatomy scan). We had an earlier about six weeks ago to confirm the age (a dating scan) but this is the big one typically done now.

There was a lot of waiting. 40 minutes of waiting. The last time wasn't that bad. Next time I'll be sure not to schedule anything in the morning if I can help it. Holding a full bladder for that long was painful.

Finally we got in there and voila, we are having a boy! So, now to start actually discussing names.

We spent the day in metro Detroit, visiting our parents to give them the news!
We stopped at my parent's house first for lunch...
...then swung by Chris's mom's house for dessert...
...then headed a little north to see Chris's dad and brother.

Everyone was excited!
